Mrs Leung’s Grade 5

Congratulations to Tristan from 5 Leung!

Tristan competed in his first Track cycling season this year as part of the Bendigo Cycling club and graduated from ‘J’ cycle to Junior Track in December. Tristan has shown great enthusiasm for the sport and has been very successful, regularly receiving 2nds and 3rds in club competition.

Last night Tristan competed in the Alf Norris memorial wheel race. He came first in the under 11/13 C grade heat. He claimed his first ever win in a heat, but he topped this 10 minutes later, by coming first in the final of the under 11/13 A, B and C grade, winning the award. Tristan was presented the award by Alf’s son and has a lovely big trophy to show for his efforts!

Congratulations to this week’s Principal’s Award winner- Brae.  Brae received the award for the outstanding quality of his Lit Circles activities.

Remember: Lit Circles are due every Monday. Next week we will have Lit Circles on a different day due to the public holiday on Monday.

Congratulations to all students in 5 Leung- We are the sports shed winners for this week!!

This is no easy task and we are now the envy of every other class in the school. Mr Coburn says there is NOTHING bigger than the sports shed award!

To win the sportshed award all students who borrow sports equipment at recess and / or lunch must return it by th end of lunchtime (easier said than done).
